About the Dili International School Scholarship
Dili International School is an international English language school located in Dili, the capital of East Timor. Dili International School has been accredited by the international baccalaureate organization, the Victorian curriculum and assessment authority.
The school was established in 2002 by a group of parents who were visiting and living in East Timor. Dili International School, in partnership with Charles Darwin University, signed a memorandum in 2022 to promote educational exchange between the two institutions.
This agreement will also establish a scholarship program for Timorese graduates to study at Charles Darwin University. Charles Darwin University was founded in 2003 and currently has 8 campuses and centres globally. It provides higher education and vocational education and offers intensive training to over 21,000 students.
Six colleges offer postgraduate and undergraduate degrees covering a wide range of subjects. Charles Darwin University is a renowned Australian public university having 20,000 students from different countries worldwide with 11 campuses and training units.
Charles Darwin University is one of Australia’s strongly multicultural universities and has a deep concern for local people and their way of life. Successful applicants will be entitled to accommodation and full tuition. Five outstanding students will be supported by this scholarship throughout their 3-year Bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility for Dili International School Scholarship
In order to be eligible, you must fulfil the following requirements
- Applicants must start an undergraduate degree program at Charles Darwin University beginning September 1st, 2023.
- Applicants must enrol in a full-time study program
- Applicants must be an international student who is paying international student fees
- An international student must have completed their DIS Y12 qualification and ATAR.
How to Apply for Dili International School Scholarship
- You must submit an admission application online directly or through an authorized CDU Education Agent close to you.
- Submit an essay of 600 words describing why you should be awarded a scholarship. Academic transcript and proficient English skills.
- You must complete the DIS high school Y12 equivalent qualification and the ATAR to meet the academic entry requirements.
- All applicants are required to meet the University English Language requirements in their field of study.
