- At the beginning of your study program and shortly following the conclusion of the scholarship period, economy-class air travel from your home country to the host university is included. Scholars will also get two round-trip airline tickets and a $500 US travel reimbursement for each trip.
Eligibility Criteria for the program
- Prior to the start of the program, you must have at least two years of full-time, post-baccalaureate employment experience in a health-related field. or hold a doctorate in a public health-related subject.
- All types of professionals are welcome to apply.
- This criterion is waived for those who graduated from a medical school in the United States or elsewhere.
- Have a good record in school. (finished one health-related scientific course, beginning general biology, and math).
- A minimum GPA of 3.5, a verbal reasoning score of 79%, and a quantitative reasoning score of 67%. (GRE). The bearers of the following degrees—MS, MA, MD, DDS, PhD, MBBS, and BDS—do not require a standardized exam score.
- Possess three letters of recommendation from professors or employers.
- English language competency (PBT 6000/IELTS 7/TOEFL iBT 100).
- No TOEFL or IELTS score is required if you have a degree from the US or an MBBS from one of the following countries: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and some others.

Eligibility for Scholarship
Application requirements for the Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship (JJ/WBGSP) include the following:
- You must be a citizen of developing countries on this list that is a member of the World Bank.
- You must not possess dual citizenship in any advanced nation.
- Possess good health.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) acquired at least three years before the application deadline.
- Have a Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree and at least three years of recent job experience in development.
- You must be paid, full-time employment doing development-related work when you submit your scholarship application.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent university) that you earned no more than three years ago and obtained no more than six years before the application deadline.
- Before submitting your application, you must attach the letter of admission.
- The phrase “near related” is defined as Mother, Father, Sister, Half-Sister, Brother, Half-Brother, Son, Daughter, Aunt, Uncle, Niece, or Nephew. You also cannot be an Executive Director, their alternate, or staff of any appointment of the World Bank Group.
