Leo 2017 Horoscope
Astrological Predictions for the Leo Zodiac Sign 2017
Honestly, there is not much happening to Leo in 2017 – generally speaking. The sign is as empty of major planets as it was last year. But Mars enters in the late summer, causing quite some excitement.
In 2015, Jupiter passed through Leo, bringing a lot of good fortune and golden opportunities. They should have been spectacular enough for Leo to still have reason to party in 2016, but by 2017 the party is definitely over.
A Long Wait for Big Events
And I’m sorry to say that it will take a long time before next occurrence of a major planet in Leo. That’s Jupiter again, in 2026. None of the other outer planets reaches Leo until Saturn does in 2034. So, don’t hold your breath.
Of course, this is true only for Leo generally speaking. In your complete personal horoscope chart, the whole Zodiac and all of the planets count. So, there it is room for a lot of events. But you have to check your birth chart for that.
This is what can be said for Leos in general.

Mars Comes to Leo with a Bang
There is one planet making its regular returns to Leo also during the coming otherwise uneventful years. That is Mars, which is a mighty energizer in the fire element sign of Leo.
That happens in 2017. This is the only event that makes some noise this year. Quite some noise, actually, since it is in the Zodiac sign where Mars is said to exalt. Leo belongs to the element fire, which is sure to ignite Mars and make its power evident.
Mars is the force of aggression, of construction and destruction. There is a reason for its name being the same as that of the Roman god of war. But Leo can take it. Actually, Leo enjoys it. Better thunder and lightning than silent gloom.
What Mars mainly causes is increased activity. It can even be frantic. It is a major energizer. All Leos will get up on their feet and start doing something, accept challenges – or, preferably, be the challenger. This is the time to shine.
Mars enters Leo on July 20th, when it is practically conjunct with the sun. That makes it even more exciting, if not to say overwhelming – well, not to Leo, but to everyone else.
Mars leaves Leo on September 5th, oddly at that time in conjunction with the planet Venus. In mythology, they are lovers, to every other god’s surprise. In astrology, they are also pretty much each other’s opposite. Mars is war and Venus is love. Together, mythology has it, they gave birth to Cupid, the rascal with the bow. His Greek name is Eros.
So, the joining of Mars and Venus is fruitful in many way. Especially the Leos born in the middle of August will get very creative and lustful in the beginning of September – but every Leo will feel it to some extent. That is definitely something to look forward to. Make good use of it, because this special inspiration is gone in mere days.
