In partnership with the Sawiris Social Development Foundation, The University of Minnesota Fellowship is pleased to organize the fourth conference of the Yousriya Loza Scholarship Program for students enrolled in Master’s Degree Programs. This initiative was set up by the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, USA.

Students will be provided with the necessary skills and tools required for the success of their degree program. In addition, they will avail themselves of the opportunity of carrying out multi assignments

that will sharpen their horizons to address the challenges of sustainable development as well as other contemporary issues such as food, insecurity, population, growth, and the management of non-profit projects and programs.

Eligibility for The University of Minnesota Fellowship

To be eligible for the Scholarship, ensure you meet the following requirements

  • Language: English
  • Country: All nationalities.
  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree or any other academic certificate related to your field of study.
  • Academic requirements for the master’s degree program must be met.
  • You must have excellent academic results and performance.
  • You must show your commitment and skills in extracurricular activities.
  • You must prove your inability to fund your dream course.
  • Your academic performance in subjects like mathematics, economics, and statistics should be referenced.
  • Your proficiency in speaking correct English must be demonstrated.
  • Your GRE (Graduate Record Exam) score is required.
  • If you are unemployed, a letter from your current job or a bank statement (in the case of unemployment) is required.
  • Letters of recommendation. Two are accepted.

Steps to Apply for The University of Minnesota Fellowship

The following steps will guide you on how to apply for the Scholarship

  • Choose a program: If you are interested in pursuing a master’s or a doctoral program at UMF, there are 130 research-based graduate programs to select from. Choose the one you want.
  • Cross-check your Application Criteria: Applications vary from program to program. Ensure you have all the required documents and qualifications to submit your application.
  • Contact your program of interest: Programs that require specific documents will not accept your application until those required documents are completed.
  • Check your Application Deadline: late submission of an application automatically disqualifies you from benefitting from the scholarship. At least two weeks before the deadline.
  • Proceed to Apply by creating an application, uploading your academic transcript and credentials and paying the application fee.
