Promising applicants from LDCs who have earned their MSc by December 2022 in a field related to the study of climate change may be eligible for Ph.D. scholarships. The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency entirely funds the TWAS-Sida Ph.D. Scholarship Program for Climate Research for students from LDCs (Sida). The donation is meant to aid in the fight against climate change in a world beset by several global issues. The United Nations designated a particular set of nations as “Least Developed and Low-Income Countries,” indicating that they urgently require assistance and support. They are seriously falling behind in science and technology, impeding expansion attempts. Contributing to their capacity building is essential, particularly in climate change, impacting the way of life in many of their communities.
