University of Waikato|Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarships for Vietnamese Students, New Zealand

University of Waikato is pleased to announce the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship for Vietnam students for the 2023-2024 academic year.

 

This is a global movement designed to give financial aid and stability to international students who wish to enrol in a degree program in New Zealand.

The scholarship award is awarded to Vietnamese students pursuing any Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or Postgraduate (Research) degree in any field of study at the University,  Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence to be eligible for the award worth NZD$ 25,000 as well as the tuition fee.

University of Waikato Scholarship Criteria

  • Applicant must be a Vietnam national in order to be eligible to apply.
  • All courses or subjects related to an Undergraduate, Postgraduate(Taught) or Postgraduate(Research) degree will be offered by the university.
  • To be eligible, applicants must meet all the required criteria given below:
  • Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of Vietnam
  • Applicants must apply for a full-time course in an undergraduate or postgraduate program as new international students at the University of Waikato
  • Applicants must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of residence from the University of Waikato including the Certificate of Attainment in the English Language, the Certificate of Attainment in Foundation Studies, the Certificate of University Preparation, the International Diploma(Business), the International Diploma(Computer Science) or Diploma of Postgraduate Preparation(Pre-Masters) at the University of Waikato.
  • Applicants must possess a minimum GPA equivalent to B+ in the academic qualification used to gain admission to the university.
  • Applicants are not currently admitted to the University in any undergraduate or postgraduate program and have not paid fees at the time of application.
  • Applicants are not accepted into the University of Waikato through a sponsoring body.
  • Applicants are not welcome to the University under a Guaranteed Credit Arrangement or through a study abroad or student exchange agreement.

  • Applicants must meet the course-specific entry requirement of the university
  • English language proficiency is demonstrated by passing the tests approved by the university, including TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, etc.
